The Boxer is a handsome dog that can sport either natural, floppy ears or cropped ears, and either a natural or docked tail. His distinct muzzle gives away his origins connected to the Mastiff lines, but his more streamlined conformation provides him an advantage to other breeds in the aspect of being a truly diverse athlete. Adaptable to many canine sports and living conditions. Known to be a great family dog, the Boxer is intelligent, eager to please, and ready for fun. He excels at obedience and is a good watchdog, friendly to all in neutral surroundings but loyal to his home and family on his home turf. This is a great breed choice for anyone looking for a versatile breed that enjoys a variety of activities or that does well in a variety of situations. The Boxer loves fetch, hiking, and swimming, and would make a good jogging partner or child's backyard pal. He loves to be with his family and is an affectionate sweet breed.

Boxer’s colors are fawn, brindle, reverse brindle, and occasionally white. Dark colored dogs can come with or without white markings and trimmings on the face, legs, and chest, with or without a black muzzle. Ears can be naturally floppy or cropped to stand erect, and the tail is either naturally long or docked short.

The coat is short and smooth, with minimal to moderate shedding and is easily maintained by brushing regularly with the occasional bath.

As this is a brachycephalic (short faced) breed, it is important to understand the needs of this type of breed prior to purchase to ensure that this breed suits your lifestyle and climate, and to provide proper care during hot weather or excessive activities for the health and wellbeing of the dog.
