Bernedoodle Breed Information
The Bernedoodle is a relatively new designer breed also known as the Bernese Mountain Poo, or Bernepoo. It’s a cross between a Standard Poodle and a Bernese Mountain Dog, with the availability to be bred down smaller, with Miniature and Toy Poodles. The goal of this designer breed was to produce a true companion with minimal shedding and a sweet and intelligent temperament.
The Bernedoodle was a success as the Bernedoodle is the ultimate companion. Depending on their size, energy levels will vary. Overall, the breed gets the best of both worlds from its two parents, although, like any designer breed, it may receive more traits from one parent than the other. They’re also known to be a bit stubborn as puppies but will grow out of that trait as their intelligence makes them highly trainable.
The Bernedoodle like any other breed should be properly trained and socialized to avoid any conflicts as the puppy grows into its full size. The Bernedoodle is a highly adaptable breed, they enjoy any space size if they have their family to accompany them. They certainly will enjoy a large yard or long walks as puppies. As they grow to adulthood, and they reach their full-size, walks would be shorter and a large backyard would go unused.
