The Malshipoo is a tiny designer breed whose parents are the Maltese, the Shih Tzu, and the Poodle. They’re hypoallergenic and the perfect size for small condos and apartments. These are multigenerational dogs as they are bred from the Maltipoo and the Shih Tzu or the Shih Poo and the Maltese.

Malshipoos are highly intelligent and focused. When it comes to training they’re eager to please and they easily comply, making them a good choice for first-time dog owners with no dog-training experience. They do well with singles as well as families with children. Due to their size, they should be supervised when around small children. They’ll also get along well with other dogs and pets as long as they’re properly socialized from early on.

They require an average amount of exercise, including brisk walks, interactive playtime and mental stimulation. If these exercise needs are neglected, the Malshipoo will resort to running around the house and chewing on everything they can get their mouths on. These little dogs are very alert and highly perceptive, however they’re not very vocal, making them a poor candidate for a watchdog.
